WHY SOME TEENS SKIP SCHOOL
In America, it’s estimated that about 4 million children miss school every day. One million drop out every year 160,000 stays home because they’re afraid. Countless additional students may be present at school but are indifferent and disengaged. In the end, those absences that disconnect too often lead to kids dropping out of school, greatly diminishing their chances of success in life. What’s happening inside and outside of schools today that promotes attendance and helps to create an all-important emotional connection to school? What more can parents and kids themselves do to keep students in school and help remedy the situation? When your child gets older and reaches about fourteen or fifteen you will probably start to see a different side of your child. Most of teenagers will go through this spell and you will wonder what happened to your innocent little child. At some given point in time you will probably find out that your child has skipped school. One good sign of this is when somebody calls to notify you that you child wasn't in school after you know that you dropped your child off at school. One thing that children usually don't understand or know is that school will often times gives you all of your notes that you wrote to dismiss your child from school. That means if your child's friend is writing the notes, you will get them when your child graduates.
In this case, the parents must take care about their child so that their child not involved in any case at outside. The parents also must give their child advice and some tips before they go to school. Teen must believe to themselves and get more knowledge from counsellor teacher how to avoid their scaring and low mentality.

Teenagers will skip school for a number of reasons. Just because your child is skipping school does not mean that your child is involved with a bad crowd or doing drugs. They skipped school a few times because their simply didn't like their classes, their classmates or their teacher. If a teacher was often times giving them problems or an attitude, they would skip school to avoid the teacher. For example, in one of my classes where a girl would frequently call me names and make me feel like I was worthless, I would skip class to avoid confrontation with the girl.
You will want to sit down with your child and ask the child if they are having any problems with any teachers or people in their school. A lot of times the older kids will make younger kids feel as if they are dumb because they are younger. Kids will usually not skip school during classes that they like to take. Do not tell your child that they cannot take band or gym class because it's pointless. Make sure that your child is involved with some classes that your child likes.
You will want to give your child a study hall but not too many in a row. For example, one year I was in three study halls. My study halls were all right in a row and I could not simply sit there without anything to do. I wanted to keep busy to make the time go by faster.
Another reason is that your child probably feels as if there are better things that he or she could be doing. Your child doesn't realize that the dates your child missed from school will show up on his or her permanent record and determine which colleges your child can get into. Tell your child that college is important because it will determine what kind of life your child lives. Ask your child what type of life he or she wants to live. Do they want new vehicles and a nice house or do they want to struggle with bills their entire life? They don't understand yet but they will when they go to college or drop out of college and realize that they should have stayed in school and gotten better grades. Talk to your child and tell them how important their choices are now because it will make or break their entire future
